Information for Owners
Appointments only (life-threatening emergencies can be presented 24/7)
Please read the information provided carefully so that the appointment can be satisfactory for you and your pet.
Procedure
For first-time visits, we ask you to arrive at our clinic approximately 15 minutes before the appointment so that all formalities can be completed. Please place a parking disc in your car.
If you have an appointment at the cat clinic, please enter our clinic directly via the side entrance to the left of the building. Parking spaces are located directly opposite the entrance. If you need assistance carrying your cat into the cat clinic, please ring the bell twice.
For a first appointment at our clinic, after a comprehensive intake of the medical history and review of existing previous findings from your family veterinarian, an initial clinical examination of the patient is performed. Minor diagnostic steps may subsequently be carried out directly if necessary.
Planned surgeries are performed after a consultation appointment in which the findings and upcoming procedure have been discussed with you.
Prior Feeding
If your pet is being presented for surgery, diagnostics under anesthesia, or for an appointment at the internal medicine consultation, we ask you to feed it for the last time at 10:00 PM the evening before. Water may be offered until arrival at the clinic.
Payment
For outpatient treatments, payment in full is expected. You can pay in cash or by debit/credit card. We do not accept installment payments or direct billing with insurance. For the treatment of inpatient patients or patients requiring anesthesia, a deposit of half to the full cost estimate must be made. The second amount is due upon pickup, in cash or by debit/credit card.
No-Show Fee
The consultation hours of our clinic as well as the scheduling of the operating room are conducted by appointment system. This means that the agreed time is reserved exclusively for you. In case of minor delays, this time will therefore be deducted from the scheduled consultation. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please inform us in advance by telephone or email (info@vetzentrum-koeln.de). Appointment cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before the appointment. For appointments or surgeries that are not canceled or canceled too late, we charge a no-show fee.
