Orthopedics is a central focus of Vet Zentrum Köln.
The treatment of a patient with lameness or gait disorders begins with a thorough orthopedic examination by our specialized colleagues. In addition to a modern CT scanner, which provides results in a short time, we can detect the smallest changes in the skeletal system using digital X-ray technology. Additionally, we have the ability to visualize even subtle changes in muscles or tendons using ultrasound.
Depending on the findings, we offer our patients conservative or surgical treatment options at the highest level.
Our surgical spectrum ranges from all forms of bone surgery (fracture treatment, corrective osteotomies) and arthroscopy (joint endoscopy of the elbow, knee, and hip) to extensive joint surgery (cruciate ligament surgery using TPLO or extracapsular fixation, arthrodesis). As part of conservative therapy, we offer a dedicated pain management clinic.
