Current information on avian influenza
Due to the current situation regarding avian influenza, we are currently unable to admit any waterfowl or wading birds. We can only accept corvids in exceptional cases or after prior consultation. We ask for your understanding of this precautionary measure, which serves to protect all animals in our clinic.
Wild animals
Especially in spring, numerous birds and other wild animals are brought to our clinic by concerned finders. To a limited extent, in addition to our clinical work, we provide initial care for these animals on a voluntary basis. We work closely with various wildlife rescue centers, which ensure the animals’ further care and support after initial medical treatment. As transport and care for the wild animals are provided on a voluntary basis by dedicated members of our clinic staff in cooperation with the wildlife rescue center at Gut Leidenhausen (https://www.gut-leidenhausen.de/projekte/wildtierstation/), we kindly ask for a donation to this association when you bring in an animal.
