Surgery at Vet Zentrum in Cologne

Performing surgical procedures requires seamless cooperation between the anesthesia and surgical teams, supported by state-of-the-art technical equipment. We can offer these fundamental conditions for your pet in our clinic.

Our orthopedic spectrum ranges from arthroscopy and simple fracture treatments to complex osteosynthetic corrective measures and stabilization.

All necessary operations can also be performed in the areas of neurosurgery, dental surgery, and soft tissue surgery. The surgical team is complemented by the anesthesia department.

In our facility, we place great importance on completely monitored anesthesia (ECG, pulse, oxygen saturation, temperature) and offer not only standard inhalation anesthesia but also intravenous injection anesthesia, as well as additional epidural or local anesthesia if necessary. Our clinic has three operating theaters, a separate dental operating room, and spatially separated recovery areas for cats and dogs.

Should a patient require intensive care, we are also equipped with the necessary personnel and equipment for such cases.

A thorough prior examination of the patient is obligatory before any anesthesia.
